Curly hair:
Curly hair is intermediate between wavy and tight curly hair. Geographically, it often stands between the kinky-haired tropical populations and the straight-wavy-haired temperate populations. The largest curly-haired groups are found in North Africa, Arabia, tribal Indian groups, esp. Veddoids, and Australian Aborigines. Curly hair is also relatively frequent in some South and West European groups, in Madagascar, coastal Somalia, Malay-Melanesian contact groups, and a few South American Natives (Bakairi, Sirionó, Comechingónes).
